Hello to you all and welcome to my website Busy Paws.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Karen Woodage, if like me you have a great love for your dogs as I do for mine, then you would want the best care for them.

My passion in life has always been animals and I am aiming one day to have my own animal rescue centre.

I've had over 25 years experience in looking after all kinds of animals, from horses to hamsters and everything in between.

I own 2 dogs, Charlie whose a rescue German Shepherd, we rescued him after losing out much loved German Shepherd Rhogee.

Poor Charlie was skin and bone when we first brought him and had issues of dog aggression which wasn't a quick fix but now after careful training and behaviour work, he will now run and play with other dogs. hes a now a very happy healthy boy who loves life. Sadly in May this year we lost Charlie after a long illness, Not a day goes by that I don't miss him, He taught me so so much about dog behaviour.

Then we have Ruby who is a Jack Russell X Chihuahua.  We compete in obedience and agility and she is also in a trick display team. She has passed her Bronze, Silver & Gold obedience awards from the Kennel Club. She has also appeared on channel 5 Live with Gabby and she was at Crufts 2012 for the Friends for Life Award. She has won a number of awards for her devotion to me. including an Award from the TV Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick.

We now have also a new German Shepherd puppy called Ryke, he's a handful but a bundle of fun.

I own 2 horses all rescued and all have a sad story to tell, Apollo, Twix.

We have had hamsters, our first hamster lived till it was 5yrs. We've also had mice and a gerbil.

I've owned 3 rabbits in the past who all lived till they were 9/10 years old.

Now my children have grown up, I have started to think that it was time for me to do what I love to do and that is helping owners help their dogs .

I have attended many training and behaviour clinics as well as teaching dog training classes.I have a grest interest with Dog on Dog aggression but I can help with all of your dog behaviour problems.

I am fully insured to undertake any activities that I do with your dogs.

I have a level 3 accredited certification in dog behaviour and gained a Higher distinction and have also gained a distinction for my dog behaviour diploma.

I have taught dog training classes as well as one to one training.

I have helped many owners and their dogs with their training and behaviour problems by getting to know the dogs and how they think and what will work best for them, whether the reward be a treat or a toy. Your dog will tell me which is best for them.

I only use reward based training and Will never use tools to help train your dog. ie Check chain, shock or prong collars.

These are all so out dated and are a cruel way to teach a dog.
